Widows Sons Louisiana
Widows Sons Louisiana – Masonic Riders Association was organized under the permission of the Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana in the year 2015. Our organization is incorporated in the state of Louisiana as a Non-Profit Organization and registered as a 501(c)(3) Private Foundation since 2017. In March of 2022, our Widows Sons Organization became an Appendant Body of the Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana F&AM. We are a Masonic Riders Association that supports the Masonic Lodges in the State of Louisiana, holds charitable events to support Masonic Charities, and promotes Masonry throughout the Fraternity while riding motorcycles. Membership in the Widows Sons Organization in the State of Louisiana is open to any Master Mason in good standing who holds a valid Louisiana Dues Card, rides a motorcycle and desires to help build an organization that both supports and promotes Masonry.
York Rite
The York Rite consists of three separate appendant bodies; Chapter, Council, and Commandery. The Chapter, Council, and Commandery each have their own charities they support such as RARA, CMMRF, and the KTEF. Many people say it is the Christian side of Masonry but this may be a bit of a misnomer. It is true that to become a Knight Templar which is the culmination of your journey through the York Rite you must profess a “firm belief in the Christian religion” the same requirement does not hold true for the Chapter and Council where all Master Masons may find further light.
