Event Details


The Fourth Masonic District will host an open-air degree at Ft Beauregard at Harrisonburg, Louisiana on April 5, 2020.  A meal will be served followed by opening a Masonic Lodge by Concordia Lodge #305, from Vidalia, Louisiana at 2:00 PM followed by the Degree Team from the 7th Masonic District conducting a Fellow Craft Degree.  The 7th District has prepared a unique Fellow Craft Degree and should be quite interesting to all attendees.

The Grand Master of Masons of the State of Louisiana will attend along with his family as well as many Past Grand Masters.  Invitations will be issued to the surrounding states.

A meal will be served at 12:00 which will be hamburgers. and hot dogs along with chips and a sweet roll. The only cost is donations by the masons who attend.

This open-air degree was begun in 1946 and lasted until 1987 when it was discontinued. In 2005 the 4th District began this open-air degree once again and this will be the fifteenth year in this modern-day version.

Please place this event on your calendar and come enjoy the beautiful spot on the Ouachita River where Confederate Forces engaged Union Gunboats to protect the Western Confederacy.
